Texas Church Uses 1,000 Drones to Illuminate the Christmas Story

The Church on MastersRoad in Manvel, Texas, brought the community together with its free “Bright Lights” Christmas event, featuring a stunning drone show that captured the story of Jesus Christ with 1,000 synchronized drones lighting up the night sky.

Families from across the region gathered over three nights to enjoy this unique visual journey from Nazareth to Calvary, accompanied by dynamic narration and brilliant aerial displays.

Alongside the spectacular drones, guests enjoyed live music, hearty meals, hot cocoa, and a rare Texas snow hill for children’s fun.

The event also highlighted the church’s “Cars for Christmas” outreach, gifting dependable used cars each night to families struggling during the holidays.

The festivities built excitement for upcoming Christmas Eve services, where locals are invited to celebrate at multiple scheduled times throughout the evening.

Manvel Community Rallies to Support Neighbors Amid SNAP Concerns

Manvel, Texas residents are rallying together to assist families facing food insecurity, raising $20,000 amid concerns over SNAP benefit misuse.

Mayor Dan Davis sparked the initiative with a $5,000 donation, inspiring a matching contribution from Manvel ER, even before the facility has opened.

This rapid local response comes as the USDA investigates SNAP fraud, including reports of tens of thousands of deceased individuals still receiving benefits nationally.

While the USDA plans a reapplication process, Texas already requires SNAP recipients to reapply semiannually, though many local families struggle to bridge the gap.

On Tuesday, the raised funds will provide H-E-B gift cards to over 200 families, though demand far outpaces resources, with more than 1,600 people requesting help.

Manvel Community Outreach and city leaders urge residents to stay involved, proving that local action can impact lives during times of need.
