Looking for a Saturday plan with a little music, a little shopping and something for the kids?

The Manvel Fall Music Festival returns to Croix Park on Saturday, Oct. 24, from noon to 7 p.m., bringing a full afternoon of entertainment close to home.

Admission is free, and the second-annual celebration combines live performances, a Fall Market, food vendors and family activities at 4503 County Road 84.

Three Bands, Three Reasons to Stay

The Main Stage schedule starts with The Spicolis from noon to 2 p.m., offering a trip back to the ’80s.

Next up is Travis Snider & The Stand Ins from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., bringing Texas country to the afternoon.

The city describes Snider as an Alvin-based performer whose music draws on traditional country and red dirt influences.

Undercover Band closes the festival from 5 to 7 p.m.

A returning festival favorite, the group’s setlist spans classic favorites, Top 40 and modern hits.

Whether your playlist leans toward ’80s nostalgia, country or familiar sing-along favorites, the lineup gives you a reason to catch more than one set.

Shop Local Between Sets

This year, ManvelMarket is partnering with the City of Manvel to coordinate the Fall Market.

Expect local makers, artisans, small businesses and specialty vendors, with handmade goods, gifts, specialty foods and other finds among the offerings described by the organizer.

It is a chance to browse local businesses while spending the afternoon at the park.

Food trucks and festival fare will also be available, along with a Beer & Wine Garden.

Free admission gets you into the event; plan separately for anything you want to purchase from vendors.

Plenty for the Kids

The festival’s Kid Zone adds another reason for families to make a day of it.

Activities include face-painting, pony rides, train rides, a hay-bale tower and a Lowe’s pumpkin-painting booth among the attractions.

That mix lets families move between music, shopping and children’s activities throughout the afternoon.

Specific activity prices are not listed on the supplied pages, so check with organizers before assuming every attraction is included with admission.
