If the costumes are ready but your Halloween plans are still coming together, you’ve got a few options around Manvel this week. There’s candy to collect, a trip down the rabbit hole and even a chance to cheer on the Manvel High School Band before Saturday night’s festivities.

Wednesday, Oct. 28: A Little Wonderland After Dark

Manvel High School’s HOSA and TSA organizations are putting a Halloween twist on Alice in Wonderland with a haunted house from 5:30–7:30 p.m. It’s part of the fifth annual MHS Trunk or Treat & Fall Festival, so families can work it into an evening at the school.

Entry to the haunted house is five tickets. Check the school’s event information for ticket prices and purchasing details before heading down the rabbit hole.

Thursday, Oct. 29: Treats at Don Jeter

Don Jeter Elementary families can keep the fun going at the campus Trunk or Treat from 5–6:30 p.m. The school is encouraging fun, kid-friendly trunk decorations, and candy will be provided.

If you’re bringing a decorated trunk, setup starts at 4:30 p.m. Contact the school with questions about attending or participating.

Friday, Oct. 30: Costumes and Candy at Froberg’s

Friday’s plans can be as simple as grabbing the costumes and candy bags and heading to Alvin ISD FFA’s Trunk or Treat. It runs from 5–7 p.m. at Froberg’s Farm, 3601 W. Highway 6 in Alvin, with music, candy and photos on the lineup.

Saturday Morning: Show Some Love for the Manvel Band

Before the candy collecting begins, head to Freedom Field to support the Manvel High School Band at 10 a.m. The band will perform its 2026 marching production, Undercover, at the Oct. 31 Area Marching Contest.

It’s a chance to catch the students in action and start Halloween with a little school spirit.

Saturday Night: Trunk or Treat With Manvel Police

Once evening rolls around, the Manvel Police Department and Manvel Police Association will welcome families for Trunk or Treat from 6–8 p.m. at the dead end of Charlotte Street in the Lakeland subdivision.

Bring the kids in costume for candy, a decorated police vehicle and Halloween fun with the family. With the band performing in the morning and this event in the evening, there’s room for both on Saturday’s calendar.

Want a Bigger Scare? Try Creepy Hollow

If your Halloween plans call for a haunted-house visit, Creepy Hollow in Rosharon is open 7:30–11:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31. You’ll find it at 12872 Valley Vista Drive.

Admission is $40 per person and includes all attractions. A Speed Pass costs an additional $20, and a No Touch Pass is an additional $10.

One detail to know before you go: Creepy Hollow is a full-contact haunt, meaning characters may touch guests unless they purchase the No Touch Pass. Keep that in mind when deciding who’s up for the outing, and check Creepy Hollow’s schedule before buying tickets.

Whether your household is here for the candy, the music or the scares, there’s plenty to choose from. Pick a favorite stop or two, check for organizer updates and enjoy Halloween close to home.
