Brazoria County Early Voting Tops 81,000 Ballots Through Oct. 26 |
TexPolls reports 31.1% turnout among registered voters, with early voting continuing through Friday, Oct. 30 |

More than 81,000 early ballots have been reported in Brazoria County, with several days of in-person voting still remaining before the Nov. 3 election.
TexPolls’ statewide turnout table lists 81,190 ballots through Oct. 26: 78,439 cast in person and 2,751 mail ballots received. That amounts to 31.1% of registered voters, or roughly three in ten.
The figures are a snapshot through Monday, Oct. 26, rather than a count through today or a final election total.
How That Compares With 2022
At the same point in the 2022 midterm early voting period, the tracker lists Brazoria County’s combined early-voting rate at 21.6%. This year’s rate is 9.5 percentage points higher.
That comparison matches the eighth day of early voting in each election: Oct. 26 in 2026 and Oct. 31 in 2022. Each rate uses that election’s registered-voter total.
The comparison also has limits. TexPolls notes that early-voting hours have changed since 2022 and that current reports remain provisional.
A Small Difference Between the Tracker’s Pages
TexPolls’ separate Brazoria County page lists 81,180 early ballots for the same reporting period — ten fewer than its statewide table. Its breakdown is 78,438 in person and 2,742 by mail, while the turnout rate is still 31.1%.
This article uses the statewide table supplied by the reader for its main figures and flags the difference so the two counts are not presented as identical. The state reporting portal could not be accessed to independently reconcile them.
What the Numbers Tell Us
These totals measure participation, not support for a candidate or party. They also combine two reporting categories: in-person voting and mail ballots received.
Mail ballots received are not necessarily accepted or counted, and early reports can be revised. The figures should not be treated as a prediction of the election’s outcome.
There Is Still Time to Vote Early
Early voting continues through Friday, Oct. 30, according to the Texas Secretary of State. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Texas’ official voter guidance says registered voters may use any early voting location in their county of registration. That county boundary matters for residents with Pearland or Rosharon mailing addresses.
Review your registration and precinct-specific ballot, then choose a location within the county where you are registered.
